You can start the process of selling an item by clicking the ‘Sell’ link at the top of sellhappy.org.  Below is an overview of the options available when listing an item.

Listing Type

Auction

Allow people to bid on your items, Buy It Now (if selected) or Make Offers (if selected).

Product

Allow people to buy the item at a set price or Make Offers (if selected).

Classified

List an item that cannot be bought.  Showing a price for the item is optional.

Select Category

Main Category

Select the main category under which your item will appear.  You may select one category.

Additional Category

You may select a second category under which your item will also appear.  You may select one additional category.

Note - If you have a store and have selected Store Categories in the Store Setup page then only these categories will be shown.  This feature makes it easier for store owners as they only see the categories that are of interest to them (it is also possible to see all categories if required)

Listing Details

Item Title

The main title for you item.  This can be up to 50 characters long

Short Description

The short description is shown next to your items photos on the actual items page and is also shown when a user selects the List view for the items that they are browsing on the main site.  It is limited to 225 characters.

Condition

You must select the items condition as either New, Used or Other

Description

This is the main description for your item.  Try to include as much detail as possible about the item.  It is also suggested to tell buyers if they must collect the item, if the item can be delivered and any other pre sale or after sale advice.

Images

You must upload at least 1 image for your item.  You may upload up to 12 images and you can re-arrange their viewing order after upload by dragging and dropping them. Images are limited in size to 2MB per image.

Media 

You can upload videos that can be watched by the user when viewing your item.  You may upload up to 5 videos per item.  Video files are limited to 4MB per video

Digital Download

If you are selling digital downloads then you can upload the files here.  Once the item is purchased and the invoice is marked as paid, the user will receive a link from which they can download the files that they have purchased.  You can upload 5 files per item and these are limited to 20MB per file.  If you have a digital download content that is larger than 20MB, please contact us

Listing Settings

Currency

Please select the currency that your item is listed in.  It is strongly advised to use the default CNY currency.  Any other selected currency will be converted to CNY when the item is purchased.

Prices

Auctions – Select the start price for your item.  Users will start bidding at this price and it will increase from there.

Products – It will say Buy Out Price.  This is the fixed price at which users can purchase the item.

Classifieds – You can enter a price for your classified listing.  Entering a price for a classified listing is optional.

Enable Reserve

This is an option for auctions.  Unless the price increases past the price set here, the item will not be sold.

Enable Buy Out

This option is available for auctions and allows the buyer to purchase the item immediately without having to bid and wait for the timer to run out.

Accept Offers

This option is available for Auctions and Products.  Buyers can offer a price to the Seller for the item.  The Seller can choose to accept the offer, at which point the item is sold to the Buyer, or they can reject the offer and the item remains available for other users to buy.

Bid Increments

This option is available for auctions.  You can adjust the amount that the price will move each time a bid is place.  For example, at low amounts the price will increase by 1, for larger amounts the price will increase by 10.  You can use the default settings (recommended) or adjust the bidding increments to your own scale.

Start Time

You can either start the listing immediately, or select a custom start time for your item which will list your item on the specified date at the specified time.

Duration

Select how long your item will be shown on sellhappy.org.  For auctions, this is the length of time that the auction will be active for before the item is sold to the highest bidder.

Private Auction

This option is only available for auctions.  If selected, other bidders usernames will be hidden to everyone except the Seller.

Disable Sniping Feature

This option is only available for auctions.  By default, if a bid is placed in the last hour of the auction then the end time of the item is increased by one hour.  This stops users scrambling to place bids in the last few seconds.  If you wish for the item to finish at the specified time regardless of when bids are placed then please select this feature.

Feature Your Listing

Features on Home Page

The item is placed in the Featured Listing area at the top of the home page.  The system selects 16 items at random each time the page is refreshed out of those items which have this feature enabled.

Features on Category Page

With this option selected the item will appear at the top of its main category page.  The system selects 12 items at random each time the page is refreshed out of those items which have this feature enabled.

Highlight Listing

A light blue background is placed behind the items title every time the item is shown to the user.

Auto Relist

Auto Relist enables sellhappy.org to automatically put the item back on to the site when its listing timer expires.  With this option enabled, other options become available.  Note that any fees must be paid before an item is relisted.

Relist Until Sold

With this option selected, sellhappy.org will re-list the item until it is purchased, up to a maximum of 50 times.

Number of Relists

You can decide the precise number of times that an item can be automatically relisted, up to a maximum of 50 times.

Auto Relist if Sold

Automatically relists the item after it is sold.  This option will relist the original item posting i.e. with all bids removed and the item at its starting price.

Location

City

The city where the item is located.  This can be different from your saved address and is the City used to filter results on the main website.  The location will also been shown next to the items photos on its listing page.

State/County

The area within the City that the item is located

Address/Postcode

A more specific address location of the item, which could be a local landmark like a shopping centre etc or a postcode

Offline Payment

sellhappy.org allows offline payment methods.  This means that the Seller must send the Buyer the payment information after an item is purchased.  Select which offline payment methods you will accept.

Automated Payments

sellhappy.org allows Sellers to use our automated payment gateway.  If you are using the automated payment gateways then please select which gateways are active (either AliPay or Wechat Pay or Both)
